Software as a Service (SaaS) evolves at a staggering pace. It’s essential that developers stay up to date with the latest platform advances and remain sharp with best practices. Microsoft’s Dynamics 365 and Power Platforms communities started seeing rapid growth as developers around the world began to look for a deep connection with their peers, as well as with the company.
Platform development
Welcome to Project Connect, a platform for the Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform developer community. This official community provided developers a more rewarding way to connect with their peers and with Microsoft through more personalized experiences, interactive challenges, and local ambassadorship.
Scaling globally
Developers work, live, and collaborate across the globe. For Project Connect to grow and succeed, it needed to do so from within. We helped Microsoft create an ambassador program, where developers in different cities in various regions around the world could nominate community members for special recognition and benefits
Rewarding engagement
A community is only as strong as the activity of its members. This is especially true online. We encouraged and rewarded interactivity with a recognition program that celebrated developers that went above and beyond to make the Project Connect a welcoming and informative community. Rewards included: Advocate of the Month spotlights, personalized letters of recognition, features on Twitter and LinkedIn, speaking opportunities, and even 1:1 connects with Microsoft leaders.
Brand positioning
Developers who showed they were committed to making Project Connect a welcoming, useful, and educational community were eligible to be nominated as VIPs, providing them with next-level status perks. They received Welcome Kit with a Surface Duo preloaded with learning content and digital tools, official program certificate, branded merch, and more.
